Discover the Versatile Joy of Acrylic PaintingUnleash your creativity with our acrylic painting course, designed for artists of all levels. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced painter, you'll receive thorough and gradual guidance through every step of each project.
Course Highlights

• Comprehensive Instruction: Start each project with a session focused on drawing and exploring techniques, ensuring you're fully prepared to create your artwork. Projects typically run for 1-2 weeks.
  
• Step-by-Step Demonstrations: Follow detailed demonstrations at your own pace, allowing you ample time to create, reflect, and discuss your progress with the tutor and fellow artists.
  
• Interactive Sessions: Enjoy a short 10-minute break halfway through each class to relax, chat, and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee (please bring a flask).
  
• Resourceful Learning: Access learning materials, including visual references and instructions, via a WhatApp group. These resources can be downloaded to your smartphone or tablet, or printed out to bring to class.
  
• Supportive Environment: Experience the joy of learning acrylic painting in a friendly, collaborative setting that emphasizes the extraordinary flexibility of this medium.

In the first week, we'll delve into acrylic techniques using heavy gesso, setting the foundation for your creative journey.

Materials

• Hair dryer or heat tool
• Sketch pad
• Selection of HB pencils
• Pencil sharpener
• Charcoal
• White Conté Pencil
• Faber Castell Putty Rubber in a case
• Brushes- Small, medium and large, round, flat and a Fan Brush for Acrylics.
• White Heavy Gesso
• Good Quality Acrylic Paints 120ml Tubes. 
• Palette for Oil or Acrylic (a white ceramic plate will do which is what I often use)
• 2 jars, kitchen towel and masking tape
• Lightweight Drawing Board, or email me to borrow one [email protected]
• Acrylic Pad and/or Canvas Panels

Recommended colours list:

Basic Acrylic – Cadmium Red, Cadmium Yellow, Ivory Black, Titanium White and a (smaller sized) Burnt Sienna, Colbalt Blue and French Ultramarine. (or simliar) The set recommended below has most of these colours.
