About this course
The course explores drawing and painting with mixed media. This course is aim those wanting to explore something a bit different to open up imagination and break from the norm in a magical enviroment at the Woodland Retreat.
You will be provided with step-by-step demonstrations and 'sparks of inspiration' to get you creating, for all abilities to follow. The course covers making thematic imagery, expressive, abstract, and imaginative art making. It will cover practices combining; watercolour, acrylic, charcoal, acrylic mediums, gesso, pen and inks conte, pastels, oils, collage plus+... Instruction will be given on expressive and image based art-making. Exploring emotion, atmosphere, nature, imagination, memory, dreams, and abstract creativity through mixed media techniques. The course will begin with exploring various techniques with mixed media As the course progresses additional media will be introduced so art materials can be built up over time. Projects will begin with drawing practice and exploring techniques to prepare you for the art making. Followed by full demonstrations for each stage making the artwork. Projects are spread over 1-3 weeks to give you plenty of time to complete each artwork. Mixed media art materials are available to share/use with an honesty box for you to make donations. Or you may wish bring your own materials with you, the list on the right provides a rough idea of what we will be using through out the course. I have also add some link too. |
