(For a long while now I have desired to share my more personal art works. All art is personal in some respect or another. However, in the selection of artworks shown here some are rather rawer than others.
They vary in theme and styles, they have been created at different stages in my life and explore inner narratives, exploring sexuality, expressing in a way that sent me on long tangents streaming obsessively toward an unknown goal to a place that has been hidden for too long. I feel it is time to share these artworks via the private galleries for those of you that have become members on this website. If you have not already logged in you will be invited when you click a gallery when you vist the gallery. This website is in many ways an extension of me and all that I do and yet I chose to hide a major area of my artwork from the world when I began exploring and merging Art and Science back in 2012. In this way I feel I have been choosing to hide part of me and who I am. I may not be the same person I was 10 or 20 years ago, but that person is still a part of me and those tangents of expression have yet to find their journeys end. Therefore, I will be placing all my personal artworks paintings and drawings into this area of my website the private galleries. Be warned some of the artwork is of an adult nature- and, As an adult, (I am approaching 40 next year!) I shall be exploring of these themes again, there are some unfinished and will be added later in a new gallery on the page. This process of placing these artworks in the private galleries evokes a rekindling my personal artwork, some of which you can already see in the Art Gallery & Store. (In fact today I removed many paintings from the Art Gallery & Store as I realised that they are not finished! This process has been good for me this week) In truth I have neglected my personal artwork, the last charcoal drawing I did in recent years is the last one shown the 'autobiographical' gallery, drawn during some counselling sessions I had in 2018 called 'me too'. Something about it was too raw. I fought against it and ended up not creating anything personal for years until that one. That’s not to say I have not drawn and painted a lot. During my time tutoring for the last 4 years or so I have drawn and painted hundreds of artworks for my classes, which I enjoy immensely. Much of which you will find is these pages - Categories But for me there was always something missing and something I feared, but now I feel it’s time to face it again, open up and see what happens next.
