About this course

A course for discovering the versatile joy of painting with Acrylics. Suitable for all levels of ability with gradual and complete instructions every step of the way for each project.

Each project will begin with a drawing and exploring techniques session to prepare you for creating the artwork. Projects may run for 1-2 weeks.

You will be provided step-by-step demonstrations, to be followed by you in stages. There will be time to create and reflect on your progress, with the tutor and each other.

A short break will take place halfway through for 10mins, which will give you time to chat with each other and grab a cupper (please bring a flask).

Main form of communication and sharing of learning resources, such as visual references, etc.. will be sent via email.

Learning resources can be downloaded to your smart phone/ tablet, or printed and bought along to sessions. If this is not possible, please contact the tutor and she will print handouts for a small fee.

Classes are joyful whilst learning the extraordinary flexibility of Acrylic painting.

In the first week, we will be exploring Acrylic techniques with Heavy Gesso.

If Online...

Due to Covid we may have to transfer to online (hopefully not) if so-
The Online Classes begin with ‘greeting and introductions’ followed by a step by step instruction.

Sessions will be recorded for you to revisit with a private link to YouTube for everyone who attends the session. You will be given the option to turn off your video prior to recording if you do not wish to be recorded.

You will need-

  • A Computer, Tablet or Phone with a Camera and Microphone.
  • The ZOOM app downloaded on to your device.
  • To provide an email for contact information.
  • To use the resources from the website and YouTube channel

Terms and Conditions:
