Free for all Associate Members of the WOMEN’S ARTS ASSOCIATION Facebook event https://www.facebook.com/events/1516790761951564/ When: 8th to 29th November 2015 (Tuesday to Sundays) All works to be delivered by Tuesday 3rd November. Venue: BUTETOWN HISTORY & ARTS CENTRE, 4 Dock Chambers, Bute Street, Cardiff CF10 5AG “PICKING UP THE THREAD” or #PUTT is about fibre and threads in every form imaginable: spinning the yarn, weaving the web, all sorts and extremes of fibre arts, tangling, twining and fabricating. You are invited to submit up to TWO “pieces” (or performances). One piece is your own. The other piece should be one never shown before and made by a woman (this could include heirlooms) invited as a guest of yours. This could be your Grandmother, mother, sister, friend, Valleys matriarch... APPLY ASAP! WAA works in partnership with practitioners, communities and funding bodies to develop accessible, creative opportunities for women, celebrating diversity and equality across all art forms. The Association holds an Annual General Meeting every year to which all members are invited. In March open exhibitions and events to celebrate International Women’s Day are organised and all members are invited to participate. There is a weekly Events & Opportunities eBulletin sent to those with an email address. Join as an Associate Member and receive in addition to the above, opportunities to network with other members, promote artists’ work and discounts on Association events. Fee £10.00 a year.
