Host: Penelope Rose Cowley
Models: Alternative weeks with Andrew or Fra.
Online Zoom Life Drawing Groups are a great way to keep up with your drawing skills and meet and people from all over the country and the world.
It is both a great social activity, engaging, relaxing and all from the comfort of your home via Zoom.
The drawings seen here are from a recent online Zoom session with our professional model Fra who will be modelling for us on the 23rd July.
Our other model Andrew who I have worked with over the years will be modelling on the 16th and 30th July.
Both models have be working successful via Zoom for the last 15 weeks and are now very experienced working online.
I am incredibly pleased to be working them for our regular Thursday Night Life Drawing sessions.
About the sessions-
The sessions will begin at 6.45pm with the first 15mins allowing for ‘Meet and Greet’ and for everyone to get ready and finish setting themselves up.
Drawing with begin at 7pm for 90mins with short and long poses, followed by a 20min ‘Chat and Review’ session led by the Host.
The ‘Chat and Review’ session will be a chance to show each other your work and talk about different aspects; sharing techniques, styles and generally inspiring each other with contractive input.
Each week you will be sent the Zoom Invitation via email with an itinerary for the session. One of the poses will be based on a theme or historical artwork set by the host and/or suggestions from the group as the weeks progress.
The itinerary will include a recommended materials list and an invitation to join a private online gallery via the website ‘Cluster’ whereby we can share our artworks and carry on the conversations from the ‘Chat and Review’.

Unique designs for home, comfort and style. All created with my 'two-hand' drawing process you can also find these on my youtube playlist TwoPenPenny or instagram TwoPenPenny
Check our the new video below showing the process from Ink to Design.
It is a process that I began exploring when I started collaborating with Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre (CUBRIC) following a conversation with the Director Prof. Derek Jones back in 2012 about Neuroplasticity reactivating old axons.
The designs explore a variety of animal and nature themes. Other themes are far more abstract, arising from the sub-conscious mind in flurries of flowing ink.
