To celebrate and convey the enhancements at the new international facility for viewing microstructure in vivo with fMRi and DTi at CUBRIC2. My work with CUBRIC began in 2012 and I have had several exhibitions in the National Museum of Wales and Galleries in Cardiff expressing the beauty of Diffusion Tensor imaging. My work leading up to the 'New Signals' project will include observational sketches of CUBRIC2 and ideas on how I will be depicting the new technology, its capabilities and my artistic interpretations. My subject for the project is Phillipa Irving a profession life model depicted internationally and it's my intention too ask Prof. Derek Jones (Director of CUBRIC2) to scan her mind at CUBRIC2 in March 2016 to explore and convey through art the macro to micro structure, from observation life drawings, anatomy, combined and explored with the imaging results of Phillipa's scans in sketches and oil on canvas. I am also collaborating with Dr. Dan Read of Cardiff University School of Physic and Astronomy to recreate my artworks with electron photo lasers to lithograph on to slices of diamond to create novel artwork at an atomic level- ideas of these assimilations will be depicted at the at The Gate exhibition . Jess Davies will also be showing her new figurative and imaginative artworks. (more detail to come)
