Glastobury Festival 2009

10 years ago my husband and I worked at Glastonbury Festival 2009. This painting came shortly after, a painting from memory of myself and David in front often Pyramid stage when Neil Young was playing, We were engaged at this point and we had set a date in 2 years time. It was at this festival that we meet a couple whilst sitting in a field and told them about our engagement and said why wait 2 years do it sooner. So we did, we moved the date to 2010 and we were married by the following June near the solstice. We’ve been married 9 years and still feel the same about my David. The Neil Young concert day was sun-drenched and colour everywhere, dancing and a touch of odd soberness with announcement death of Michael Jackson’s death while Mr Young played ‘the damage done’ just after the sunset behind the stage.
